2015 Keynote Speaker: Dr. Faye Ginsburg
Faye Ginsburg is Director of the Center for Media, Culture and History at NYU where she is also David B. Kriser Professor of Anthropology. Recipient of many honors and awards including a MacArthur and a Guggenheim, and author/editor of four books, she has been working with and writing about and curating with Indigenous media makers since 1988 when she first began research on Indigenous media and cultural activism in central Australia, and has hosted many visiting indigenous filmmakers from all over the world at her Center since 1993. She is currently completing a long overdue book called Mediating Culture: Indigenous Identity in a Digital Age.
