Welcome to the Buchanan Lab! Using ultrafast vibrational spectroscopies to study protein structure and dynamics We aim to develop a deep physical understanding of protein self-assembly in order to guide the design of novel biomaterials and to elucidate the role of functional amyloids in nature. We are also investigating protein-nanoparticle systems.
