Crucial Conversations 2015 Event!

Posted by on Monday, January 19, 2015 in News.

We cordially invite you to a forum on discussing race and ethnicity. Crucial Conversations – a Peabody campus-wide initiative supported by the Peabody Coalition of Black Graduates, the Peabody Graduate Student Association, Common Ground, Peabody Queering and Embracing Diversity, and the Peabody Jewish Association – is hosting this event for the second time in our continued work to change campus culture.

This year’s theme is “Peabody in Context.” What do the experiences of Peabody students have to do with what is happening in the world? We seek to address shared discomfort among students from across Peabody’s campus regarding how the topic of race is approached and discussed on campus. Everyone’s perspectives are welcomed and appreciated. This will be a safe space for people to share their stories, challenges, opinions, and personal discomforts.

  • Event title: Crucial Conversations: Peabody Students’ Experiences with Race
  • Date: Thursday, January 29th at 7:00pm
  • Location: The Wyatt Rotunda

Food will be provided.
