This past Sunday, we held our first ever Crucial Conversations retreat. We had a great group of people come together to work out what are our priorities, who we are as a team and as individuals in that team, and our game plan for the year. Want to know more? Stay tuned!

As of now, we are working from the assumption that our core planning team list is (a) those people who were on the team before, plus (b) any new people from orientation and the retreat. So if you do not get any core team emails from us but believe that you should have been included, or if you want to join, email Richard at richard.s.blissett (at) vanderbilt.edu.

In addition, apologies for the confusion that ensued in moving from our manual mailing list to AnchorLink. It ended up being more difficult than anticipated, especially given the email invitation system. If you believe you should have been added to the AnchorLink list, please LOG IN to your AnchorLink account and check your messages to see if you have an invitation to join the list. If not, again, email Richard.

Finally, there have been several important developments in the Vanderbilt community that will likely affect the shape of our work moving forward.

1. There is a new Office of Inclusion Initiatives and Cultural Competence.
2. Vanderbilt is leading a consortium of Tennessee post-secondary institutions in increasing faculty and staff diversity.
3. There is now a Vanderbilt Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Committee that will be working to address issues of diversity.
