Teaching

Daniel Ridge has over ten years of experience teaching university level language and literature courses in the U.S. and Europe. Beyond Vanderbilt, he has lectured at the Sorbonne Paris III, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’architecture de Montpellier, and at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Ridge has taught numerous advanced French writing courses. As a team teacher, he works with colleagues to build the undergraduate French language curricula, mainly though incorporating Digital Humanities projects such as Wiki pages that students build collaboratively. Dr. Ridge seeks excellence in his teaching and follows the principals of the “Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century.”
