This research addresses critical questions about individual, classroom, school-level and other policy and organizational factors that support or impede the effective use of digital educational tools in improving K-12 student achievement and reducing socioeconomic and racial achievement gaps. Our multi-institutional research team is based at Vanderbilt University, the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Texas at Austin.
Our school district partners include Milwaukee Public Schools and Dallas Independent School District (DISD), and funding support for this research is being generously provided by Mr. Jaime Davila, the William T. Grant Foundation and the JPB Foundation. The Jiv Daya Foundation is supporting the expansion of the e-Reader (StEP) program in DISD.
