Welcome to the Computational Flow Physics and Engineering (CFPE) laboratory at Vanderbilt University!  We are located on 17th Ave South, a.k.a., the Music Row of Nashville.

In our lab, we use mathematical algorithms and high-performance computing to develop computational models for a range of problems that involve fluid dynamics, fluid-structure interactions, as well as multi-physics interactions.  In addition, we develop theoretical models for some of these problems to gain fundamental understanding in the dynamical behavior of complex flow systems.  Furthermore, we develop and improve accurate and efficient numerical methods to solve the governing differential equations for practical fluids engineering applications.  For more detail, please read our Research page.
