The 9th International Conference on Computational Harmonic Analysis 2026
in conjunction with
The 38th Shanks Lecture
May 18 – 22, 2026
Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, USA
Overview
The conference will highlight recent theoretical and applied advances in modern harmonic analysis, sampling theory, frame theory, and transport theory, and their applications to engineering, physics, and science, especially in areas such as data analysis, machine learning and deep learning (including neural networks), signal and image processing, graph signal processing, and quantum computing. The aim is to stimulate collaboration and the exchange of ideas. Early-career researchers (including students) are especially encouraged to attend.
Shanks Lecturer
| The conference will be held Yann LeCun in conjunction with the 38th Annual Shanks Lecture, to be given by Professor Yann LeCun (NYU and META AI). Turing Award recipient and pioneer in deep learning and convolutional neural networks. The prestigious Shanks Lecture Series is organized annually by the Department of Mathematics of Vanderbilt University, honoring Baylis and Olivia Shanks. The late Professor Baylis Shanks was chairman of the Department from 1955 through 1969. Previous Shanks Lecturers can be seen here. This meeting will feature several plenary and main speakers who will give lectures on several topics of special interest. | ![]() |
