This video presentation argues that language and culture are not separate entities to be dealt with individually in the language classroom, but rather language teaching materials should be developed with a holistic model of language-culture in mind. Additionally, SLA theory and research should be applied to the development of teaching materials so that intercultural competence is a clear learning outcome in language classrooms.
