I found some clips from a movie called “Doomsday Block” which features the idea of an “enlightened AI,” one capable of thought beyond what humans have the capacity for. The AI in these clips raises great philosophical questions and ideas about the nature of perception, and how it effects the mind and ability for rational thought. As I mentioned in class today, I do not believe humans have the ability to reach this level of enlightenment because of the fact that perception clouds our reality and renders us unable to see everything how it really is. It is of great irony that man could be capable of creating such an enlightened AI, when we will never be able to reach such height ourselves.
