Vanderbilt Robotics provides a strong mix of engaging club activities and competitive robotics events to give Vanderbilt undergraduate students early opportunities to participate in robotics. Members attend weekly meetings where they learn the theory behind electromechanical systems and the skills to apply this knowledge to real-world projects. The club also plans to participate in community outreach by hosting educational events at Vanderbilt and in the local Nashville area. A highly committed sub-team of the club spends the year building a complex robot for an annual robotics event that provides a specific engineering challenge for the team to overcome. The team plans to expand in the upcoming years and build robots designed to solve complex real-world problems, such as autonomous medical robots or participating in the annual NASA competitions. Vanderbilt Robotics is a great place for undergraduates to gain team experience and join a great community of motivated engineers.
