The paper “Remote active magnetic actuation for a single-access surgical robotic manipulator” by C. Di Natali and P. Valdastri was awarded with the “OLYMPUS ISCAS Best Paper Award” at the XVI Annual Conference of the International Society for Computer Aided Surgery (ISCAS) co-located with Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery (CARS) 2012 in Pisa, Italy.

Magnetic Mechanism for Wireless Capsule Biopsy Paper
The paper “Magnetic Mechanism for Wireless Capsule Biopsy” by M. Simi, G. Gerboni, A. Menciassi and P. Valdastri has been selected for the 3-in-5 competition at the 2012 Design of Medical Devices Conference. Only 10 papers out of 112 contributions have been selected for the competition.
