Beyond SACNAS

SACNAS Vice President Alejandra Flores presented a TED talk at TEDx Vanderbilt.

“Being a woman is a death sentence in Juarez Mexico”

Alejandra was born and raised in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, a city known for its high incidence of violence against women. This is the results of a failed security system and government that has failed its citizens and does not have their best interested as a priority. Alejandra shares the stories of many women who have gone missing and of their families who continue to investigate. She calls to action to stop violence against women of any form!
