Oracle released its Critical Patch Update for October 2013 on October 15, 2013.  Starting October 2013, Oracle will release Java SE Critical Patch Update quarterly every year as per the main Oracle Critical Patch Update Schedule.

Oracle strongly recommends applying the patches as soon as possible.

The next four Critical Patch Updates include:

• January 14, 2014
• April 15, 2014
• July 15, 2014
• October 14, 2014

Oracle posts its Critical Patch Update Advisories on the Oracle Technology Network at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/security/alerts-086861.html.  The Critical Patch Update Advisory includes the list of affected products, patch download links, a summary of the security vulnerabilities for each product, and documentation links.
