Who are we?

We are a team of twelve (and counting) faculty in the Department of Psychology and Human Development at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College who are working to better understand child development from infancy to adolescence.

We are particularly interested in children’s growth in the context of the families, schools, neighborhoods and cultures in which they live. Our work relies on voluntary participation from parents and children of all ages, and we invite all families to join us!

Why participate?

Our goal is to include Nashville-area children and families from a wide variety of backgrounds in our play-based studies.

By participating, families play an important role in helping us to better understand how children think, learn, and grow. As we gain greater understanding and make new discoveries, we are committed to sharing them back with the community.
