Below are some microscopy and simulation images from my research with ZnO nanowires and TiO2 nanoparticle thin films. Enjoy!

: SEM image of ZnO nanorods grown onto a fused silica substrate and an unknown feature. Due to high ZnO concentration in the Ar carrier gas, nanorods begin to fuse together and form connecting threads.

: Tabletop SEM image of ZnO nanostructures grown on fused silica substrate with nanowires at the surface and nanoribbons on an unknown feature. After cleaving the sample for cross-sectional imaging, a small piece of fused silica was seen in the foreground.
