*Screening of The Hunting Ground and Panel Discussion

The Hunting Ground is a documentary about the prevalence of sexual violence on college campuses across America. It will be followed by a panel, made up of Vanderbilt students, who will discuss the importance of the issue of sexual assault on college campuses, as well as prevention efforts on Vanderbilt’s campus.

*Equal Pay Day at Vanderbilt Discounts

In honor of Equal Pay Day, businesses near campus will be offering various discounts to Vanderbilt women. The list of participating businesses can be found here.

*Survivor Solidarity Workshop
Tuesday, April 12th
6:30-7:30 p.m.
Black Cultural Center
This workshop is for folks interested in learning about what it means to experience power-based personal violence, how trauma impacts survivors, as well as how to be a supportive friend, family member, and partner.

*Screening of The Edge of Each Other’s Battles: The Vision of Audre Lorde
Wednesday, April 13th
Noon-1 p.m.
Black Cultural Center
Poet, lover, mother, warrior Audre Lorde was a fiercely passionate American visionary. Her poetry and prose spoke to her deepest convictions–love and anger, civil rights and sexuality, family politics and the glories of nature. She gave voice to a political generation and became a role model not only for Black women, but for everyone who believes, as she did, that “liberation is not the private province of any one particular group.”
Refreshments will be served.

*Prevention Procession and Shared Survivor Stories
Wednesday, April 13th
7:30-9 p.m.
Starting on Library Lawn and ending at Kissam Multipurpose Room
The Prevention Procession is a time to bring awareness to sexual assault, as well as a chance to show solidarity with survivors of sexual violence. All survivors, as well as any supporters, are welcome to join. At the end of the walk, survivors will have the opportunity to share their experiences and the impact violence has had on their lives.

*Green Dot Bystander Training
Thursday, April 14th
3-9 p.m.
Sarratt 325/327
Green Dot is a bystander intervention program designed to prevent and reduce power-based personal violence within our community. In this training, attendees will learn how to safely and appropriately intervene–to do a green dot.

*It’s On Us Pledge Signing
Friday, April 15th
