Congratulations to Nalin Leelatian and Deon Doxie, co-first authors, and our collaborators on this publication! Updates:
- This manuscript was selected as the “Editor’s Best” by Cytometry B for 2016-2017! Congratulations! Nalin Leelatian has been invited to give a presentation on this work at the European Society for Clinical Cell Analysis (ESCCA) 2017 meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece in September 2017.
- Thanks to outstanding clinical collaborators in surgery and pathology for helping to develop techniques for working with human tissues, including Lola Chambless, Mark Kelley, Mary Hooks, Reid Thompson, Kyle Weaver, Akshitkumar Mistry, Jay Werkhaven, Rondi Kauffmann, and Bret Mobley.
- A detailed protocol for this technique is now published in Leelatian et al., Current Protocols in Molecular Biology 2017.

Single cell analysis of human tissues and solid tumors with mass cytometry. Cytometry B 2017 (first published 4 October 2016). PMC5459378. Pubmed. DOI.
► This peer-reviewed methods research was conducted in collaboration with Rebecca Ihrie and was the first published application of flow-based mass cytometry to solid human tissues. This study validated mass cytometry for human solid tumors, including glioblastoma, melanoma, and patient derived xenografts (PDX) of small cell lung cancer. A detailed protocol for the methods established here was published in Leelatian et al., Current Protocols 2017. [Selected as “Editor’s Best” 2017]
