Our Research

The faculty and staff at the Meta-Analysis Center (MAC@PRI) have broad expertise in the social, behavioral, and educational sciences. Our core content areas are in crime and delinquency, education, family and parenting, health and wellness, methodological development, and technical assistance.

Crime and delinquency. Recent projects have focused on bystander programs for preventing sexual assault, juvenile delinquency therapeutic programming, juvenile drug courts, recidivism reduction interventions for adults, and risk factors for juvenile delinquency.

Education. Recent projects have focused on high school dropout prevention programs, music education programs, postsecondary educational interventions, recovery high schools, predictors of school success and failure, and early childhood predictors of school readiness.

Family and parenting. Recent projects have focused on family and parenting skills interventions.

Health and wellness. Recent projects have focused on brief alcohol interventions, juvenile drug courts, outpatient substance abuse treatment for adolescents, recovery high schools, and teenage pregnancy prevention programs.

Methodological development. Recent projects have focused on meta-analytic structural equation modeling, network meta-analysis, publication bias, and robust variance estimation.

Technical assistance. Recent projects have focused on provision of technical assistance for implementing effective and sustainable practice guidelines in juvenile justice systems.
