California’s Public Education Campaign

Posted by on Friday, October 20, 2017 in News, Updates.

When states legalize marijuana for adults, they commonly launch campaigns to educate the public on how to use the drug safely. The book discusses some examples drawn from early adopters, like Colorado’s “Good to Know” campaign (see pages 232-35 and 500, n.3). Now California is getting in on the act. Last month the state department of public health launched the “Let’s Talk Cannabis” campaign. Among other things, the campaign discusses what’s legal (and what’s not) under Proposition 64, what to expect when consuming unfamiliar forms of marijuana, and the risks surrounding driving under the influence.

The campaign’s website can be found here. The Cannifornian also has a story describing the campaign here.
