Our very own David Zhang will give a tutorial talk on using Wolfram Mathematica for problem-solving, exploratory data analysis, and numerical experiments. This will be the first in a two-part series, covering the basics of the Wolfram Language and its evaluation model. Next week’s session will cover advanced programming topics and applications. No prior experience in programming or applied mathematics is necessary.

For the first meeting of the semester, the Math Club will share its expectations, hopes, dreams, and fears for the coming semester. Come prepared to fill out a survey and discuss your ideas for the next semester. Indisputable mathematical rigor and pizza will be provided.
