About Me

Melanie Forehand is originally from Chesapeake, Virginia. She majored in Hispanic Studies at the College of William and Mary and studied abroad in Morelia, Michoacán and Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. After completing her B.A., she earned her J.D. at the College of William and Mary and her M.A. in Spanish at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She taught English as a Foreign Language in Mexico and has taught a variety of Spanish courses for undergraduate and graduate students at Vanderbilt University. Melanie has sought to integrate her knowledge of language, literature, and cultural studies with her interest in digital humanities.
