Vanderbilt SCNO coordinates and manages teams of top college students to jumpstart social impact through pro-bono consulting engagements with nonprofits and social enterprises in the Nashville community.

Please visit our official website at https://www.vanderbiltscno.com/ to learn more about our organization.

For Students

As a member of SCNO, you will be placed on teams of five or six students and paired with a non-profit organization in Nashville. The executives of the organization will present your team with a problem within their organization that they hope to improve. Over the course of the year, your team will be responsible for creating a proposal for alleviating the problem. There will be single team meetings, general body meetings, and extensive consulting workshops to help you along the way. At the end of the year, your team will present your proposal to the organization.

Students interested in joining Vanderbilt SCNO should visit our AnchorLink page.

For Nonprofit Clients

As a client of SCNO, you will present us with an issue facing your organization. Possible issues include but are not limited to the following areas: marketing, capital allocation, fundraising, operational management, organizational strategy, or human resource management. SCNO will assign a team of five to six Vanderbilt undergraduate students to your case; the team will work with you throughout the year to produce innovative methods of attacking your particular challenge. At the end of the year, the team will present their final results to you during a Final Showcase day.
