VINSE Image Competition

The Vanderbilt Institute of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (VINSE) is holding the annual competition seeking new images to be displayed in the VINSE Facilities.  If you have materials or devices that have been fabricated, characterized, or imaged using VINSE equipment, submit them to vinse@vanderbilt.edu.  Interesting photos of the tools and facilities are also eligible.

Winners of this competition will receive a $50 Prize!

  • Image enhancement and false coloring is permitted as well as multiple submissions and collages of multiple images.
  • Submit high resolution images.  Higher resolutions may be requested for final printing.
  • With each entry indicate what the image depicts and specify which VINSE tools were used to take the image and/or fabricate the materials (e.g. Merlin, Osiris, Cleanroom, etc…).
  • Images need to be in landscape format. Winning images will be printed 24×21 for display.
  • If the image has been published please provide a citation.

The submission deadline is October 16th.

Winners will be announced during the NanoDay! poster awards.
