This year VINSE recognizes Alice D. Leach for her vision and creation of the VINSE spotlight podcast series. Each week Alice talks to the first author of the VINSE spotlight publication to learn more about the research that happens at Vanderbilt every day. With more than 20 episodes to date, this effort has led to increased page views on the VINSE website and generated increased engagement on VINSE’s social media platforms. The podcast is an exciting new way to stay up to date on what is happening in VINSE and gives our graduate students and postdocs a unique opportunity to practice their science communication to a general audience.
