First Annual VINSE Best Graduate Student Publication – seeking nominations
VINSE is seeking faculty nominations for the first annual VINSE Best Graduate Student Research Publication Award. This award will come with a plaque, $1,000 cash prize, and an opportunity to present at NanoDay.
Eligibility requires:
- work be in one or more of VINSE’s six research thrusts (nano bio/medicine, nano computation, nano electronics, nano energy, nano materials and/or nano optics)
- first author must be a current graduate student (registered in fall 2021 semester)
- publication in print between June 1, 2020 and July 31, 2021
VINSE faculty can nominate a paper to be considered for this award, please complete the nomination form by 5 pm on Thursday, September 30. The nomination letter, which should be a maximum of one page in length and is an essential component of the evaluation, must clearly describe the content of the paper; highlight the contributions made by the lead author; and make a compelling case for the significance of the contribution and its impact on the field.
