Meet Our Graduates: Marm Dixit

Marm Dixit
 graduated from Vanderbilt University Mechanical Engineering with a PhD. in December 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Kelsey Hatzell. Marm worked on understanding the processing-structure-function relationships in solid-state batteries. At Vanderbilt, he investigated failure onset and growth mechanisms for several exemplary solid electrolyte materials, and developed a manufacturing platform for scalable production of hybrid solid electrolytes. Marm received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Charotar University of Science and Technology, India. After receiving his PhD, Marm is currently working as a Weinberg Distinguished Staff Fellow at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Marm was awarded the ECS Toyota Young Investigator Fellowship 2021, and ECS student travel grant on two occasions. He has given invited talks at Gordon and TMS conferences and was a part of the cohort of the 2017 Neutron and X-Ray Scattering School. Dixit has published 23 articles with an h-index of 12 and has five patents.
