IMS Alumna Anh Hoang to speak to prospective students at the IMS Open House on Monday, March 6, 2023.
Anh Hoang is the CEO of Jana Care -an early stage commercial company focused on at-home blood testing for patients with chronic kidney and heart failure. At Jana Care, she leads the company’s strategic vision, financing, and operations-including securing partnerships with AstraZeneca and Roche Diagnostic. Prior to Jana Care, Anh is the founder and a board director of Sofregen Medical Inc, a company that is re-inventing ancient silk technologies for medical treatments. Under her leadership, Sofregen received the first FDA cleared product made from reconstituted silk protein for the treatment of vocal fold insufficiency.
Outside of work, Anh is a faculty at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Catalyst LinQ program and is an operating partner at Agent Capital. She was a recipient of the 2018 Medtech Boston 40 under 40 Healthcare Innovators. Anh is a proud graduate of Vanderbilt University for her doctorate degree (Ph.D) in material science engineering and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School as an Executive Committee on Research fellow. Anh earned a BA in chemistry from Mount Holyoke College.
