Andrew Janson, Ph.D.

Andrew Janson is a postdoctoral research fellow who joined the Morgan lab in June 2020. He received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah after completing his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University and Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati. His research focuses on using neuroimaging methods to examine how resection surgery and deep brain stimulation therapy alter network dynamics in the brain to better guide clinical decision making and patient management for epilepsy and movement disorders. In his previous work, he utilized multimodal neuroimaging and computational models of deep brain stimulation developed novel surgical targeting techniques for white matter pathways in the central thalamus to treat patients with traumatic brain injury.
