United States Board on Books for Young People (USBBY) (2021-2022). Local planning committee.

East Nashville Hope Exchange Board of Directors (2017-2019). I work with students, families, teachers, and directors to improve the literacy skills of individuals in East Nashville. I advise and assist in curriculum development, assessment ideas, and family workshop topics.

NAZA Leadership Council This advisory council convenes quarterly and provides guidance for NAZA and Nashville middle school students through strategic planning.

MNPS Literacy Advisory Council This council is charged with helping to create a Image result for mnpsvision of literacy instruction and achievement for our local schools through weekly meetings and guidance in writing and implementing the Comprehensive Literacy Plan.

Twitter #literacies chat (2012-present) Creator and Moderator of bi-monthly literacies chat. I am continually working to build a network of #literacies educators, researchers, and theorists. We use theScreen Shot 2017-03-21 at 10.33.31 AM hashtag (#literacies) during the week, and on Thursdays I help facilitate a twitter conversation that engages other professionals from across the country and internationally, who share their expertise in an area related to contemporary literacies.
