Biography:
Brittany is a doctoral student in the Sociocultural & International Development Education Studies program at Florida State University. She received her M.A.T. in social science education from the University of Central Florida and has taught in Brevard County, Florida, as well as online through the Florida Virtual School. From 2013 to 2015, Brittany served as a volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps where she worked as a literacy instructor at a small primary school in western Uganda. Her research interests focus on the interactions between gender, sexuality, and religion across local and international educational contexts.
