National Center on Scaling Up Effective Schools

Research Activities

What do you need from my school?

In 2019-20, we will be conducting a variety of research activities in Broward County high schools. These include:

  • Phone interviews in the Fall with PASL coordinators
  • Field work visits to 15 Broward high schools in February. Each visit will involve a team of 2 people visiting for one day.

We know schools are busy places and that research activities can seem tangential to the main goal of student learning. Our goal is to minimize the burden on school personnel while contributing to the knowledge of how new practices can best be implemented to ensure their success and sustainability. We are committed to reporting the emerging results back to your school to improve work in your school and district, while also contributing to a wider understanding of how to scale up effective schools.
