The DCH research cluster began as a faculty-led initiative by campus scholars from various disciplines and departments working on questions of digital archiving, curation, mapping, preservation, virtual reality, and more. Now that the cluster has been generously funded as part of the Vanderbilt Trans-Institutional Programs initiative (TiPs), we are looking forward to training graduate and undergraduate students in the methods and ideas behind preserving culture in digital environments.

The first training opportunity is our fall TEI (Text Encoding Initiative) workshop series in partnership with Vanderbilt Libraries and the XQuery Working Group. Please see the group’s calendar for more information about how to join and to start learning with us! More programming will be announced very soon.
