Using Clickers: A hands-on workshop
Date & Time: Monday, October 22 4:10-5:30pm Clickers, also known as classroom response systems, allow students to provide instructors with instant feedback and quick responses to questions. Clickers support instructional goals through a variety of uses including real-time assessment of understanding, paired or group answering, quizzes and self-tests, and anonymous polling. This hands-on workshop will cover everything you need to know to build and present interactive clicker questions using PowerPoint, including time for everyone to experiment using the clicker hardware and software. These workshops focus on practical, concrete strategies for common teaching tasks, challenges, and opportunities. These sessions draw on research-based best practices from the literature on teaching and learning and help participants consider ways to apply those best practices in their teaching.
