Cultural Heritage at Scale: A Semantic Web Symposium at Vanderbilt
Posted by Rhett McDaniel on Friday, May 27, 2016 in Digital Pedagogy, Events, News.
The Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) and Vanderbilt University formed the Committee on Coherence at Scale for Higher Education in 2012 to examine emerging national-scale digital projects. The Committee on Coherence at Scale fosters strategic thinking about how to rigorously manage the transition from analog to digital in higher education.
The Jean and Alexander Heard Library is hosting a semantic web symposium on June 2nd and 3rd open to anyone interested in learning more about developing cultural heritage projects at scale. The event will feature speakers who are actively developing digital cultural heritage projects as well as workshop leaders who will demonstrate how to expand the reach of such projects through technologies such as graph databases and the semantic web. Registration is free, but spaces are limited. For more information and to register, see heritage‐at‐scale.info.
