The Trump Administration’s Ban on Transgender in the Military [Gender/Sexuality Matters Seminar]

Join the Women’s and Gender Studies Program for an informal discussion of one of the most currently pressing gender/sexuality issue of our time. Participants will view news clips to obtain the most up-to-date information on this topic, and engage in a roundtable discussion on how the effects on this ban could have on the transgender community, particularly those currently serving in the military or those who wish to serve in the future. Participants will also dive into the history of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell,” for clues on how LGBT issues have been handled (and mishandled) by the military in the past.
