American Square Dance

Posted by on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Newsletter Article Posts.

Have you ever experienced a traditional American folk dance form called “Square Dancing”?  If you have not, you will have a fantastic time with your friends and meet many other International students in the process of having a great time. Square dancing is done in groups and no previous experience or knowledge is required as the “caller” tells us how and where to move and before you know it, you are dancing in groups of fours, sixes or more or in lines and having the time of your life!  This is back this year by popular demand.

Who:  For international students and visiting scholars from Vanderbilt and their friends.

When:  Friday, January 19th, at 7 pm to 9 pm.

How:  No previous dance knowledge is needed.  You will get it and love it!

Cost:  $3 each to help cover costs of the dance caller and refreshments.  More if you want to.  🙂

Where:  TBD as we finalize location on campus

RSVP required by Jan 18th, 12 pm noon:  by emailing Rich Zeigler at RichZ.ivcf@gmail.com

We will send an email once the final location is determined.   If you have any questions, please contact Rich at the email above.
