NCPI to announce results of POINT Experiment, September 21, at 12:45pm

The results of the nation’s first scientific evaluation of performance pay for teachers will be released Sept. 21, 2010, at 12:45pm CDT by the National Center on Performance Incentives at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of education and human development.

The event will present the findings of the Project on Incentives in Teaching, or POINT, a three-year experiment conducted in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools that studied the effect of teacher pay bonuses on student performance. The study was conducted by the National Center on Performance Incentives at Vanderbilt in partnership with the RAND Corporation.
