Program
Scientific Program 8th Conference on Tetraspanins
The goal of this conference is to discuss cutting edge research on the organization of surface proteins by membrane scaffolds. These scaffolds are central regulators across many aspects of biology and share the ability to organize macromolecular membrane structures essential for regulating biological activity.
Sessions on membrane scaffolds are devoted to the topics in:
- Molecular Biology of Membrane Scaffolds: Our current understanding of the components, organization, and regulation of molecular scaffolds in the membrane.
- Development and Homeostasis: Scaffolds involved in normal development, tissue repair and homeostasis.
- Immunity: Scaffolds that regulate formation of the immune system and immune responses.
- Cancer: Scaffolds that influence tumor formation and cancer progression
- Host-Pathogen Interactions: Scaffolds that control interactions between pathogens and the host they infect.
