VUIT Scheduled Maintenance to Install Windows OS patches on AVST voicemail servers

From 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Feb. 18, Vanderbilt IT will install Microsoft Windows 2008 operating system patches on AVST voicemail servers. This scheduled maintenance will ensure the continued security of Windows operating systems on these servers. Upon patching, VUIT will restart the CallXpress server.

Patching of the CallXpress System Server (VUIT-HCWNAP130) will cause the following during a 30- to 45-minute outage:

  1. Outside callers will receive a prompt that their messages may be delayed because of system maintenance.
  2. Users will not be able to log into their voicemail.
  3. Out-call notifications will be delayed for messages so marked.

Skype for Business (Lync) voicemail will not be affected by this maintenance.
