Import Certificate Chain from Google
Mar. 15, 2018—Beginning at 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, the VUMC IT Identity team will import Google’s complete certificate chain to resolve SSL Handshake Exception issues. This will resolve intermittent issues when accounts are created in the Student Registration Application. This procedure is expected to require downtime of AccessVU tools and applications, beginning at approximately 7:30 p.m....

VUGmail Outage – Update
Mar. 7, 2018—Last night as of 11 p.m. CST, Gmail mail delivery is back to normal. Emails sent from non-Vanderbilt accounts to VU Gmail accounts between March 5 at 5 pm to March 6 at 11 p.m. have been stored. VUIT is currently working on a solution to deliver those messages as soon as possible.
VUGmail Outage
Mar. 6, 2018—On March 5, at approximately 5:00 p.m., mail flow to Gmail for undergraduate VU students have stopped. Technicians are working to restore mail flow and deliver messages queued in the meantime. Mail flow can expect to be restored within the next few hours. Efforts to deliver queued messages will begin thereafter.
