VUIT Scheduled Maintenance to Install Windows OS Patches on VUIT Virtualization Servers
From 10 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, to 6 a.m. on Friday, May 4, Vanderbilt University IT will install Microsoft Windows operating system patches on the Hyper-V Virtual environment. This scheduled maintenance will require a reboot of the servers after patches are applied. The maintenance will ensure the continued security of Windows operating systems on the host servers. The majority of the systems are redundant and there is no expected customer service outage.
The following management systems will be briefly unavailable while the servers are rebooted:
VUIT-HCWNSC38 – SCVMM Management Server
VUIT-HCWNSC29 – App Controller
VUIT-HCWNDB20 – SQL Server for SCVMM, and App Controller
