VUIT Scheduled Maintenance for Collaboration servers

Beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday, May 4, and ending at 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, Vanderbilt University IT will install Microsoft Windows Server security updates on Exchange, Lync, and SharePoint servers to ensure the continued security of Windows operating systems.

This scheduled maintenance will require a reboot of the servers after updates are applied; this will affect end users as follows:

1) Exchange 2010 users will experience an outage during the server reboot.

2) Lync users will be temporarily disconnected while the server they are connected to reboots; this can be resolved by signing-out and then back into their client to connect to another server.
