Gabrielle Fortier is originally from Harleysville, Pennsylvania. She completed her B.S in microbiology at the University of Pittsburgh in 2023 and joined the Vanderbilt IGP in the Fall of 2023. Gabrielle joined the Cover lab in the Spring of 2024. Her research involves understanding the direct and indirect effects of CagA and the Type IV Secretion System on host stomach epithelial cells. Outside the lab, Gabrielle enjoys hiking, having game nights with friends, dancing, and baking.
