Chiamaka joined the Cover lab in 2022 as a graduate student through the IGP program. She is an international student from Nigeria, and she completed her B.A. in Biochemistry at Bowdoin College in Maine. Her research projects involve studying proteins of the Cag Type IV secretion system and their contributions to H. pylori pathogenesis of gastric cancer. Outside the lab, she enjoys dancing to Afrobeats, watching TV shows, making art, and spending time with family and friends.
