Prof. Ndukaife engages students on nanofabrication in the VINSE cleanroom!
Mar. 11, 2026—As part of the experiential learning component of my new course on Biomedical Microdevices, I take students through the process of nanofabrication using advanced tools like electron beam lithography, mask aligner, electron beam deposition, etc. Students learn how these tools are used to perform top-down fabrication to make micro devices for societal benefits.
Prof. Ndukaife received an NSF Conference grant to organize the 6th African Nano Conference in Nigeria!
Mar. 11, 2026—Prof. Ndukaife applied for and received approx $24k NSF conference grant from the Nanoscale Materials Interaction Program. The grant was used to support the 6th African Nano Conference at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, facilitating participation from U.S. researchers, and promoting their engagement with researchers in West-Africa.
Our latest paper on thermal emission engineering with bound states in the continuum (BIC) has been featured on back cover of Advanced Optical Materials!
Mar. 11, 2026—We are excited to share that our latest work on controlling thermal radiation using bound states in the continuum (BICs) has been featured as the Back Cover of Advanced Optical Materials (Vol. 14, Issue 6). https://lnkd.in/eQHYHGBM Thermal radiation is typically considered broadband and incoherent. In this work, we demonstrate that through nanophotonic engineering and BIC-enabled...
