NCPI director Matthew Springer was recently quoted in a Christian Science Monitor article, “Change Pay, Change Teaching?” The article focuses largely upon ProComp in Denver, detailing both arguments for and against the program. Professor Springer’s comments focus not only upon the importance of rethinking teacher compensation, but of the importance of stakeholder buy-in, long-range funding, and evaluation.
