    In recent years, Texas has invested significant dollars into the design, implementation, and evaluation of several incentive pay programs for educators. NCPI has led a team of researchers to evaluate all three of the state’s 21st century incentive pay programs, with the final evaluation recently published.

    The National Center on Performance Incentives has been deemed one of Peabody’s “Seven Great Ideas” in an article of the winter 2010 issue of the Peabody Reflector. The article celebrates the 225th anniversary of Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of education and human development – and recognizes the evolution of education research at the institution including seven key innovations that continue to make a lasting impression on the field of education.

  • NCPI and Battelle for Kids’ 2010 national conference, Evaluating and Rewarding Educator Effectiveness: Navigating the Evolving Landscape, brought together the nation’s leading experts on topics critical to issues of educator effectiveness. Now, NCPI offers video footage from last fall’s conference, covering topics related to models for and challenges of evaluating educators, key lessons from research and practice, along with presentations from keynote speakers.

    NCPI affiliates continue to make advancements in value-added research, resulting in several recent journal publications and a presentation at the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management’s (APPAM) fall 2010 conference.
