NCPI researchers present papers at 28th Annual APPAM Research Conference

At the 28th Annual Research Conference for the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, J.R. Lockwood, a statistician for the RAND Corporation and researcher with NCPI, presented a paper titled “Recent Empirical Findings About Value-Added Models for Teacher Effects”. His paper was featured as a recent advance in the measurement of academic growth for accountability in K-12 education. Professor Matthew Springer also presented results from the first empirical assessment to compare the effect of equity- versus adequacy-based school finance equalization on resource distribution.
