NCPI director Matthew Springer was quoted in a pay for performance article in the August issue of Governing Magazine. The article, titled “Should the Best Teachers Get More Than an Apple?,” which ran alongside an article about the use of student incentives in New York City, provides an overview of several pay for performance programs, including Denver’s ProComp, Guilford County North Carolina’s program, the STAR program in Florida, and the program in Houston, Texas.
